My name is Sophia-Philothée von Hofacker (she/her).

I am in my mid-sixties and have been working as a “Heilpraktiker” (HP) for 30 years (licensed in Berlin 1995).

As a „Heilpraktiker (HP)“ I am allowed to provide therapeutic services in my own right, be it psychotherapy or treatment of physical issues – or both. Some private health-insurances reimburse my bills depending on your current contract.

I work out of two offices: one in Landshut and one in Munich (c/o #munichtherapy in Landwehrstrasse, very close to Munich Hauptbahnhof). After 3 – 5 appointments we will usually have established clarity around whether I am the right person with the right skills to help you at this moment in time.

Therapeutical options offered will be tailored to your needs, wants and current life situation – because being in touch with what is possible for you right now is an important resource when looking at the possibility of healing your life.

While I am not a native speaker I have lived extensively in the US and Asia in my earlier years, have had a lot of therapeutic training in English and always enjoy to travel to english-speaking countries. In the fall of 2023, e.g., I spent six weeks in New England to learn from and work with horses and went back for certification in May 2025.

Special interest:

All things horses … actually all animals but horses do live in a very special place in my heart.

A few years ago equine-assisted traumatherapy started to be an area of growing interest and expertise – so much so that in 2022 – 2025 I joined an in-person and online- training with Sharon and Laura Wilsie. in Horse Speak. After three years of experiential learning, videoying my work with different project horses and a weeklong exam-course in May 2025 I earned my certificate „Practitioner Grade 1“ – and am authorised to use elements of Horse Speak within the scope of my practice with humans and horses.

In June and July 2024 I participated in a residential training in animal communication (additional specialization: horses) taught by the gifted Catherin Seib. Those 3 weeks truly belong to the deepest, most healing times of my entire life…. and since July 2024 I have been speaking with animals professionally.

I work out of two offices:

Tuesdays and Fridays: Munich, Landwehrstrasse 37, in the beautiful, quiet rooms of the #munichtherapy practice community (very centrally located – just 7 minutes on foot from Munich main station)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: at our home in Aign 3, 84184 Tiefenbach (near Landshut).

If you come by car (advisable) please drive past the indoor and the steel bridge leading to our entrance, park in the small parking lot close to the little white hut. Should all the parking be taken you are welcome to use the large parking lot in front of the farm.

Public transport: take bus 10 from the main station or from “Ländtor” – get off at Goldinger Strasse and walk from there for 20minutes. In spring, summer and autumn, when the weather is good and it is not too hot you may enjoy a wonderful, quiet walk passing some houses and through beautiful nature. Also nice after the session. Please be aware though, that during a hot summers day or during winter that walk might be tiresome. The horses are private, so no feeding, but if you like horses: always a good opportunity to enjoy watching them from the road after – or before – your session…
