My name is Sophia-Philothée von Hofacker (she/her).

I am in my early 60ies going into my 15th year of our very happy marriage – currently we are enjoying our new role as grandparents of our first grandson – and have been working as a “Heilpraktiker” (HP) for 30 years (state-certified inBerlin 1995).

„Heilpraktiker (HP)“ means that I am licensed by the state of Germany to provide therapeutic services in my own right, be it psychotherapy or treatment of physical issues – or both. (This kind of HP is also called “Großer Heilpraktiker”). Some insurances reimburse my bills – some do not depending on your insurance and your specific contract.

I work out of two offices: one in Landshut and one in Munich (c/o #munichtherapy in Landwehrstrasse, very close to Munich Hauptbahnhof). After 1 – 3 appointments we will have established clarity around wether I am the right person with the right skills to help you at this time of your life.

Therapeutical options offered will be tailored to your needs, wants and current life situation – because being in touch with what is possible for you at this moment in time is an important resource when we collaboratively want to foster healing in your life.

While I am not a native speaker I have lived extensively in the US and Asia in my earlier years which I loved and have had plenty of my therapeutic training in English. Last fall (2023) I spent six weeks in New England to learn from and work with horses (will go back this year…) and am very happy that the flow led me to working out of #munichtherapys office with so many able and lovely american colleagues ❤️🇺🇸💙🤍 ! I am more than happy to offer you therapeutic services in English – wether English is your native language or the language you prefer. I have a working knowledge of Greek, too, since my father is from Trikala. 💙🇬🇷🤍. And of course I speak some Bavarian…. 🍺🥨🍻!

I have provided equine-assisted traumatherapy and am currently training with Sharon & Laura Wilsie (Horse Speak).

Completed „Build Your Foundation“ Program November 2023.

Completed „Everything Means Something“ Program January 2024. This program finished with a test comprising 172 questions (open book test but I did not use any of the books – by the way: they are awesome).

Certified in Animal Communicaton for all animals, specialization on Horses, with Catherine Seib July 2024.

On track to qualify for certification as a Horse Speak practitioner since August 2024 (currently: Level 1 Apprentice)

I work out of two offices:

Tuesdays and Fridays: Munich, Landwehrstrasse 37, in the beautiful, quiet rooms of the #munichtherapy practice community (very centrally located – just 7 minutes on foot from Munich main station)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: at our home in Aign 3, 84184 Tiefenbach (near Landshut).

If you come by car (advisable) please drive past the indoor and the steel bridge leading to our entrance, park in the small parking lot close to the little white hut. Should all the parking be taken you are welcome to use the large parking lot in front of the farm.

Public transport: take bus 10 from the main station or from “Ländtor” – get off at Goldinger Strasse and walk from there for 20minutes. In spring, summer and autumn, when the weather is good and it is not too hot you may enjoy a wonderful, quiet walk passing some houses and through beautiful nature. Also nice after the session. Please be aware though, that during a hot summers day or during winter that walk might be tiresome. The horses are private, so no feeding, but if you like horses: no one will say anything if you stand at the paddock fence after – or before – your session and enjoy the atmosphere.
